Manchester City seem to have already reconciled with the loss of the super-talented Brahim Diaz, who is on his way of becoming a new Real Madrid player.
To fill the void left by the imminent Diaz’s departure, Pep Guardiola has already started making plans for the upcoming transfer window.
According to the reports from England, the Citizens’ boss has identified three potential replacements for the outgoing Spanish midfielder.
Bayer Leverkusen’s highly-rated winger Leon Bailey allegedly tops the list. The 21-year-old Jamaica international has been one of the revelations in the Bundesliga last season but has been struggling for form this term. Furthermore, Baley has already played down Premier League transfer talks, stating he would rather stay in Germany for one more year.

Another player Guardiola has in his mind is Goncalo Guedes currently in the ranks of Valencia. The pacey Portuguese forward has impressed in La Liga following a disappointing spell at Paris Saint-Germain. A recent conflict between former Benfica youth product and Bats’ manager Marcelino Garcia Toral could make things easier for the Citizens. Still, the Spanish outfit won’t sanction a transfer unless someone offers €65m.
Last but not least is the name of Mikel Oyarzabal. The left-footed Real Sociedad winger has emerged as one of the hottest prospects in Spanish top flight ever since breaking into Royal’s first-team squad in 2015.
However, considering the reigning Premier League champions are yet to confirm their interest in any of the aforementioned talents, this news should be taken with a grain of salt.
