Out-of-form Barcelona playmaker Philippe Coutinho has reportedly chosen to stay at La Liga amid Manchester United transfer talks
The Brazilian has failed to settle in at Camp Nou ever since his €142 million transfer from Liverpool and has been continuously linked with a potential departure.
This season, the 26-year-old has registered just 16 La Liga starts under Ernesto Valverde, scoring barely four goals and contributing two assists in the process.
In spite of his underwhelming performances for the Catalans, Coutinho has ended up at Manchester United’s wishlist, with the Red Devils reportedly preparing to offer him the escape route from the Blaugrana.
However, the Brazil international has allegedly decided not to return to the Premier League and would rather play his way back to the top at Barcelona.
Coutinho has enjoyed the best time of his career in the English top tier with Liverpool, which has earned him a move to the reigning Spanish holders.
