Paris Saint-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel has expressed his frustration with Neymar’s decision to take a trip to Madrid during the international break
The Brazilian forward, who has spent the last six weeks on the sidelines due to a hamstring injury, attended the Davis Cup in the final days of this month’s international window.
Indeed, the ex-Santos youth academy product has been invited by his former Barcelona teammate Gerard Pique to attend the tennis event in the Spanish capital.
Neymar’s behavior has not been received well by Thomas Tuchel, who has refused to hide his stance on Neymar’s recent acts.
“What can I do? I’m not his father. I’m not the police. I’m the coach,” the German manager said, as transcribed by Sky Sports.

“As a coach, am I happy with this trip? No, not at all, it’s clear. Is this the time to get mad? No, no, it’s not the moment. He was very professional here for two weeks. He did more than the others.”
But, Tuchel has hinted that Neymar could return to the fold for PSG’s Ligue 1 clash against Lille on Friday, admitting the 27-year-old has been training with the squad regularly in the recent period.
“He has trained with the group. He has individual work. And if everything goes well, he can play tomorrow (Friday). We have to decide if he will start the game or be a substitute.
“He will bring his quality and be decisive. If he plays for us, we are more dangerous in front of goal, and he is a decisive player. He gives this for the team, and it’s necessary if we want to keep winning.”
The Ligue 1 action gets underway on Friday evening, with the reigning holders looking to settle the score with last season’s runners-up following a 5-1 demolition from the final stage of the 2018/19 campaign.
