Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez knows the recipe to beat Barcelona in the final round of the UEFA Champions League group stage fixtures
The Serie A giants are in contention for the runners-up spot in Group B after leapfrogging Borussia Dortmund at the second place ahead of Matchday 6.
The Nerazzurri secured a comfortable 3-1 away triumph over Slavia Praha on Wednesday night, while Barcelona hammered the BVB at the Camp Nou via the same scoreline.
Antonio Conte’s side will advance to the knockout stage if they manage to outplay Barcelona at the Giuseppe Meazza regardless of the outcome of Dortmund’s home clash against Slavia.
Ahead of the ‘must-win’ affair for his team, Martinez has explained the way his teammates should play to outperform the Catalans in front of the home crowd.
“Barcelona? We have to start from the 45 minutes of the first leg at the Camp Nou. We have grown, and we can play with it,” he told Sky Italia, as transcribed by Calciomercato.
Lautaro scored twice at the Sinobo Stadium, while his attacking partner Romelu Lukaku added one more to complete Inter’s triumphant night in the Czech Republic.
The 22-year-old was quick to hail the Belgium international in the post-match interview, praising his efforts to help the team.
“I always want to work for Inter. We are happy. The important thing is to work for the team. Lukaku is a great person. We work every day to find the right agreement.”
