Paris Saint-Germain star forward Kylian Mbappe will reportedly make a decision on his future at the end of the ongoing campaign
Although the reigning Ligue 1 holders desperately want to keep the most highly-rated young forward beyond his contract, which is due to expire in 2022, the player may have other ideas on his mind.
Heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid and a union with his compatriot Zinedine Zidane, the France international will wait until the end of the season before deciding on his future, according to the Daily Mail.
Zidane has already expressed his admiration for Mbappe, who has made it clear that he wants to wear the white shirt one day, even during his time at AS Monaco.
The two could line up next summer, but the Frenchman won’t come cheap, as PSG forked out £145million to take him away from the principality two years ago.
Ever since landing at the Parc des Princes, Mbappe has established himself as an indispensable first-team member, leading PSG to back-to-back Ligue 1 titles.
However, the club’s struggling on the international stage could sabotage PSG’s efforts to keep their gem in the French capital, and Florentino Perez is unlikely to miss out on the opportunity to capitalize on that.
