Everton star Richarlison has signed a new long-term deal with the club that will tie him down to Goodison Park until 2024
A subject of interest from several Europe’s top clubs, including Barcelona and Manchester United, the 22-year-old forward has been Everton’s headline performer ever since completing a £50m move from Watford in 2018.
Since the beginning of last season, no player has scored more goals for the Toffees than the Brazil international (17), who has established himself as a fan favorite in the blue side of Liverpool.
As reported by Bleacher Report, Richarlison has crowned his performances under Marco Silva with a new lucrative deal that will keep him at Goodison until 2024.
The former Fluminense youngster was delighted to announce his contract extension, insisting he wants to wear the blue shirt for many more years.
“The supporters have a lot of affection for me, and I try to give back all this affection as much as possible on the pitch. I go out and put my life on the line for them. I try to sweat blood and tears for this club. I intend to continue honoring the shirt and making the fans happy,” his statement said.
“My development and progress are clear for everyone to see, and Marco Silva has been part of that. He has my trust and the trust of the whole group. It’s us on the pitch, and we are looking to help him as much as possible because Marco Silva is an excellent person.”
But, the Selecao man will have to skip the Merseyside derby against Liverpool after sustaining an injury, reports from England suggest.
