As reported by the Italian news outlet, Sempremilan, the Rossoneri have seen their €42million bid for the 24-year-old accepted by Los Colchoneros.
Furthermore, La Liga giants will claim 30% from Correa’s future sale, a clause that has eventually convinced Atletico to sanction the move.
But, both sides will have to wait a little longer for the finalization of the deal, as Milan first need to sell Andre Silva to Valencia, who are then supposed to let Rodrigo Moreno join Atletico.
Los Rojiblancos have brought in Joao Felix, making it difficult for the former San Lorenzo man to find a regular first-team action, which has opened the doors for Milan to jump in and steal him away.
Correa doesn’t fall in Diego Simeone’s plans for the new season, but his characteristics suit Marco Giampaolo’s football philosophy just well.
