AC Milan’s misery in Serie A continues, as they suffered a 2-1 away loss to Torino just a few days after losing 2-0 to city rivals Inter Milan
The Rossoneri failed to live up to expectations in Derby della Madonnina ahead of their Thursday trip to Stadio Olimpico di Torino and were expected to bounce back against the Maroons.
In fact, they got off to a flying start in Turin, as Krzysztof Piatek was accurate from the spot to give the visitors a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute, with Milan looking hungrier and more dangerous in the first half.
However, Torino’s second-half blitzkrieg headlined by Andrea Belotti sank the seven-time European champions, shipping them down to 13th in the Serie A table.

The Italian forward first settled the score in the 72nd minute thanks to Gianluigi Donnarumma’s disappointing piece of goalkeeping before he turned the match around with a bicycle-kick tap-in four minutes later.
Although the Milan hierarchy insisted they fully support the head coach Marco Giampolo following Inter failure, things could change after another disastrous display from the falling giants.
Milan currently sit nine points adrift of league toppers Nerazzurri and will welcome Fiorentina to the San Siro on Sunday for a league fixture that might prove decisive for the former Sampdoria boss.
