AC Milan opened talks for Sandro Tonali

AC Milan have reportedly stepped up their interest in the sought-after Brescia youngster Sandro Tonali, according to claims in Italy

Although Inter Milan remain the front-runners in the race for Tonali’s signature, the Italian’s burgeoning talents are in demand across Europe, with Liverpool, Paris Saint-Germain, and Juventus credited with an interest.

Brescia have been relegated to Serie B but remain confident of their chances to cash in at least €40million on their most valuable asset.

Tonali will undoubtedly warrant a staggering price tag, and there’s a genuine feeling that Brescia and Inter remain quite apart in their valuation of the Italian whizz-kid. A scenario the ‘Rossoneri’ could benefit from.

Indeed, Milan have established contacts with Tonali’s representative earlier in the day to understand the feasibility of the deal.

As reported by Sempre Milan, high-flying Lombard powerhouse are determined to beat cross-town rivals to the deep-lying playmaker’s signature.

During his debut Serie A season, the Lodi native has picked up a goal and seven assists in 33 league outings, becoming the anchor of the Brescia midfield.

The 20-year-old’s technical ability and vision, coupled with a physical presence and dribbling prowess, make him a serious threat on the pitch.

Despite Brescia’s disastrous overall performances this season, Tonali has gone from strength to strength and genuinely deserved to play at a better team.
