Arsenal are reportedly weighing up a fresh attempt to sign Paris Saint-Germain left-back Layvin Kurzawa, reports in England say
Arsenal tried to lure Kurzawa away from Paris in the winter transfer market, but a lack of funds prevented them from completing the deal.
The Frenchman’s contract with PSG will expire at the end of the season, with no signs of potential extension, as the 27-year-old continues to be Thomas Tuchel’s backup option for Juan Bernat.
Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta is still on the lookout for a new left-back after the £25million-rated Kieran Tierney spent the majority of the season on the sidelines due to various injury setbacks.
Despite failing to get the deal over the line in January, the Gunners have not given up on landing Kurzawa and are lining up a fresh bid, according to The Sun.
In addition to the abovementioned Tierney, Sead Kolasinac has also been ruled out with an injury, leaving Arteta with the teenage sensation Bukayo Saka his only option for the left-back position.
Although he is not a natural left-back, Saka has been a revelation ever since he’s been deputized by Arteta, but the Spaniard is still looking for a permanent solution.
Also, the Emirates outfit will look to offload Tierney in the summer, with his former Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers hoping for a reunion at Leicester City.
The Foxes are likely to lose Ben Chilwell to Chelsea at the end of the season, and Rodgers is hopeful the 22-year-old could fill the void.
