Arsenal are reportedly ready to ship out the out-of-form Mesut Ozil on loan in January
The Gunners’ patience with the former Germany international seems to have run out, and the club would like to get rid of his stratospheric £350,000-a-week wages as soon as possible.
Ever since Unai Emery arrived at the Emirates, the 30-year-old playmaker has found himself on the fringes of the Arsenal squad.
Often struggling for fitness and form, the ex-Real Madrid star has been widely criticized for his mediocre performances for the majority of last season.
Nothing has changed this term, as Ozil has so far made just two appearances for the Gunners, one of which have come in a 5-0 demolition of Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup.
As reported by the British newspaper, Mirror, the North Londoners are looking for potential suitors, willing to pay a part of Ozil’s massive salary.
The club’s bigwigs would rather cut expenses involving the out-of-favor midfielder than paying him such a hefty wage only to see him sitting on the bench or staying on the sidelines.
Ozil was heavily linked with a departure during the summer transfer session, but only Fenerbahce showed a genuine interest in his services.
The Turkish giants, however, pulled the plug on the deal once they realized the player’s demands are out of their reach, leaving the German to rot on the bench in London.
