Arsenal star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has withdrawn himself from talks with the club over a contract extension, according to the latest reports from England
The 30-year-old striker is ready to depart London at the end of the season due to the Gunners’ inability to compete for the silverware.
Aubameyang’s contract at the Emirates runs out in 18 months, and several of Europe’s big guns have already shown ambition to wrap up his services.
The Gabon international has netted 53 goals in 83 appearances for the club since arriving from Borussia Dortmund in January 2018, and the Gunners chiefs have every intention to keep hold of him.
But, according to The Mirror, Aubameyang’s frustration with Arsenal’s struggling to return in contention for trophies has seen him pull out of talks over a contract extension.
Now, the North Londoners have a big decision to make over whether to cash in on their captain next summer, or take a gamble and hope the club’s potential progress could change Aubameyang’s mind.
Barcelona and Real Madrid are both credited with an interest in the pacey forward, as both are looking to strengthen their respective attacks.
