Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain have finally made a breakthrough in negotiations to return Neymar to La Liga
A long-running transfer saga is drawing to a close, as the Catalans finally found a formula to convince the Parisians to give a green light.
As reported by the British news outlet, Mirror, the reigning La Liga holders will fork out £182million plus Jean-Clair Todibo, Ivan Rakitic, and Ousmane Dembele on a season-long loan.
After seeing all of their previous attempts to rehire the Brazilian forward come a cropper, the Blaugrana have decided to bet huge in the final stage of the European transfer window.
Neymar to FCB is not done… Yet. But "very close", according to source close to negotiations ç. Clubs seem to have a deal: the total value will go above €200m, and as well as cash, might include Rakitic and Todibo, plus Dembele on loan (if players agree). However, none of the players have yet to give their approval, which may pose as the last major stumbling box in the ongoing negotiations.
Dembele’s desire, in particular, could prove decisive in this massive deal, as the Frenchman’s agent recently ruled out his client’s departure from the Camp Nou.
“Ousmane stays 100 percent. There is no chance he will leave. He wants and will prevail at Barca,” Moussa Sissoko said.
The one thing that could persuade the 22-year-old to leave Catalonia is that he won’t be parting ways with Barcelona permanently. He will instead have a chance to play regularly, which might be a problem at Ernesto Valverde’s side given the fierce competition in Barca’s attack this season.
