Barcelona have reportedly rejected a stratospheric offer for the teenage sensation Ansu Fati, according to various reports in Spain and England
According to the Spanish publication, Sport, as relayed by the SPORTbible, the reigning La Liga holders have turned down a €100million bid from an unnamed “top European club” for Fati.
The 17-year-old forward has emerged as one of the most exciting young prospects in Europe since breaking onto the big scene earlier this season, taking advantage of Ousmane Dembele’s injury to shine at Camp Nou.
Indeed, he has become Barcelona’s youngest ever top-flight goalscorer when he found the net against Osasuna in August 2019, at the age of 16 years and 304 days.
But, Fati has refused to stop there, moving on to shatter another record and become the youngest player to score in the Champions League, at the age of 17 years and 40 days.

Fati’s goal against Inter Milan at the Giuseppe Meazza on Matchday 6 has bowed the Nerazzurri out of the competition and propelled his name to prominence.
Barcelona are keen to reunite with Neymar and snap up Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez this summer, which could reduce Fati’s game time next season.
Although some recent reports suggested that the Catalan giants might offload their rising star and include a buy-back clause, the club president Josep Maria Bartomeu is reluctant to give up his jewel.
Bartomeu sees Fati as Lionel Messi’s long-term successor in Catalonia and is prepared to entrust the super-talented teenager with shaping a new era at Camp Nou.
