The new Arsenal signing Dani Ceballos has admitted that he has no clue what the Gunner’s objectives for the next season are
The North Londoners have brought in the Spaniard on a season-long loan from Real Madrid, as Unai Emery intends to utilize him as a direct replacement for Aaron Ramsey, who left the Emirates Stadium for Juventus.
The 22-year-old has also been handed a number eight, previously worn by the Welsh star and is expected to be entrusted with a prominent role in the Gunners midfield.
Having arrived in London a few days ago, the former Real Betis man has yet to talk with his new teammates and understand the club’s objectives for the new season.
However, according to Ceballos, it won’t stop him from giving his best for the red shirt.
“Well, I’ve not spoken to my team-mates yet so we’re not sure of what the objective is, but obviously, I’m coming here to give everything I have,” he said.
“Nobody will be able to question that because from the very first day I pull this jersey on I’ll give everything I’ve got. We’ll try to achieve the club’s objectives.”
Emery oversees his transfer funds restricted to 40m, which is why loaning a player of Ceballos quality has been on top of his agenda ever since the window opened.
Meanwhile, the Spanish playmaker has embraced the opportunity to play on a regular basis, which can help him fight his way into Spain’s Euro 2020 squad.
