Philippe Coutinho’s agent has revealed the club’s plans regarding his client amid Barcelona exit talks
The Brazilian’s career has been sharply declining since he left Liverpool to join the Blaugrana in January 2018.
After registering 22 La Liga starts for the reigning Spanish champions, the 26-year-old playmaker was thought to be keen on leaving the Catalan outfit.
Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Liverpool have all been mentioned as potential suitors, with the Parisians allegedly leading the race for his signature.
However, Kia Joorabchian has dismissed the rumors regarding his client’s departure, admitting the Catalans hierarchy has assured him of their desire to keep hold of the ex-Inter Milan star.
“I talked a few days ago with Pep Segura at Barcelona,” he said.
“He told me that the club does not want to sell Coutinho this summer. No matter the And then, we have not had any contact with PSG.”
Meanwhile, Coutinho has so far been one of Brazil’s standout performers at Copa America, showing glimpses of his class, which may have influenced Barcelona to decide to keep him on their books.
