Juventus talisman Cristiano Ronaldo has dismissed speculations linking him with a move to the MLS franchise Inter Miami
Inter Miami, who will make their MLS debut tonight against Los Angeles FC, have been scouting European stars ever since David Beckham has announced the franchise will join the Major League Soccer.
Among the names listed as potential reinforcements, there are Cristiano and his arch-nemesis, Lionel Messi, with Beckham suggesting that he would like to have them both by his side in the United States.
“We’ve got great opportunities down in Miami,” ‘Becks’ said recently.
“We’ve been contacted by a lot of different players with possibly coming to join the team.
“As any owner, you really want the best players.
“And if we have the opportunity to bring in players like Cristiano or Leo Messi, I’ve got such admiration for them as athletes.
“If we can bring those players in, then great.”
“As an individual I am happy. I went to Juventus to score goals and do my best and I am very happy.”https://t.co/zN4M2nKMO6— talkSPORT (@talkSPORT) February 29, 2020
Cristiano Ronaldo, who spent the Sunday night at the Bernabeu watching Real Madrid vs. Barcelona, insists he is happy at Juventus.
“I’m happy,” he told Sky Sports, as later reported by the Daily Star.
“I’m in the best club in Italy. I’m playing alongside the best players. I’m happy we won trophies last year – and this year, I hope to win as well.
“As an individual, I am happy. I went to Juventus to score goals and do my best, and I am very happy.”
After enduring a torrid start to the 2019/20 season, the Portuguese superstar has regained his best form in the new calendar year, scoring at least one goal in each of his seven Serie A outings since the turn of 2020.
