Dani Ceballos has reportedly asked Real Madrid to deprive Arsenal of the option to make him stay in London permanently as he wants to return to the Spanish capital
After falling out of favor with Zinedine Zidane, the 23-year-old has been told to find a new club for the 2019/20 season so he can play regularly and fulfill his potential.
The Gunners have come to the rescue, offering the former Real Betis man an escape route form the Bernabeu and regular first-team opportunities.
However, according to the Spanish publication, Marca, the player has refused to think about staying in the Premier League after this season, as he expects to work things out with Zidane and succeed at Real Madrid.
According to Marca, before joining #Arsenal on loan, Dani Ceballos asked Real not to sell him as he is determined to make a success of himself at the club. Even though Arsenal have been putting pressure on Los Blancos to include a buy-out option, the London giants had eventually accepted a dry loan, aware of the impact Ceballos can make.
And the Spanish midfielder has taken no time to impress and showcase his skills, picking up a MOTM award in his home debut for Arsenal.
Although it’s too early to draw conclusions, it seems that Zidane made a mistake not to entrust the playmaker with a prominent role in his squad for this season.
Ceballos has been flourishing under Unai Emery in the early stage of the season and has starred in Spain’s 2-1 away win over Romania in the UEFA Euro qualifier, showing he is already a Real Madrid material.
