David Beckham looks to lure Falcao to MLS

England national team icon David Beckham reportedly hopes to bring AS Monaco striker Radamel Falcao at Inter Miami FC.The Colombian talisman is well past his prime but is still among the most prolific goalscorers in Europe. Although there were some rumors about potential interest from AC Milan, it seems El Tigre might be heading towards the United States. After the signing of Gonzalo Higuain, the Rossoneri don’t need another striker with a high salary, which could pave the way for Inter Miami. Meanwhile, Beckham’s new MLS franchise won’t compete in the United States’ top flight until 2020, and that’s when Falcao’s contract with Monaco will run down.According to The Sun, the parties have already opened negotiations, as Beckham looks to beat competition from Colombus Crew, another MLS side interested in the 32-year-old star. It’s yet to be understood the intention of Les Monégasques regarding Falcao’s possible move, especially following his impressive 24-goal season.
