Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli has spoken of his relationship with Manchester City stalwart Raheem Sterling
The two are colleagues in the England national team and has been starring for the Three Lions in the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The Spurs midfielder and the Citizens’ forward have also represented their nation at the 2016 European Championship, which was also Alli’s first major international tournament.
Talking about his admiration for Sterling, the 23-year-old has been reminiscing Euro 2016, when the two suffered a shock elimination to Iceland.
“The worst I’ve ever seen was Raheem at the Euros,” Alli said. “He is honestly one of the best people you could meet in how he’s dealt with everything.

“That was my first major tournament and Raheem is what, a year older than me? I don’t know how I would have handled all the heat that they were putting on him.
“Obviously when I was younger Raheem was playing first-team a lot sooner than I was and he was a much bigger name before I started coming onto the scene.
“I already had this picture of him from what I’d seen, and when you meet him, he’s one of the nicest people I’ve worked with. He’s so focused and dedicated, but you read all this s*** about him.”
The future mainstays of the England national team will go head-to-head next week, as Manchester City and Tottenham battle it out for the Champions League semi-finals.
