Borussia Dortmund open talks with Werder Bremen for Milot Rashica

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly opened talks with Werder Bremen over a promising forward Milot Rashica, reports in England have confirmed

According to the Express Sport, negotiations between Dortmund and Werder are underway, as ‘Die Borussen’ look to land Rashica as Jadon Sancho’s successor.

Sancho has been heavily linked with a move away from the Signal Iduna Park, with Manchester United and Liverpool reportedly frontrunning the race for his signature.

Since the Bundesliga heavyweights already reconciled with a possible loss of the coveted 20-year-old winger, they have to find a suitable replacement, and Rashica emerges as their top target.

The 23-year-old forward had enjoyed an impressive season, notching up ten goals and providing five assists before the coronavirus pandemic curtailed his momentum.

The Kosovo international’s outstanding performances for Werder have seen his price tag raise up to ¬£31million, which Dortmund will be willing to meet.

Talks between Dortmund and Werder have come as a huge boost to Manchester United, who will be encouraged to make a move for Sancho when the transfer market opens for business in the summer.

The English starlet had one hell of a season, racking up 17 goals and 19 assists in all competitions before the coronavirus outbreak put the club campaign on hold.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a known admirer of the former Manchester City youth academy product and is ready to break the bank to lure Sancho to Old Trafford.
