Eden Hazard has revealed that he decided to join Real Madrid immediately after the 2018 FIFA World Cup but stayed at Chelsea for another season instead
While enjoying a rise to the stardom at Stamford Bridge, the 28-year-old has become a symbol of West London, gobbling 110 goals and 92 assists in all competitions during his seven-year spell there.
Although the Blues fans worshiped him and made him their hero, he has refused to hide his intention to link up with the most successful club in Europe one day.
The Belgium international finally fulfilled his wish of joining Los Blancos in the summer after the clubs found an agreement worth over £100m.

During an interview with Real Madrid TV, the former Lille forward explained: “I’d already made my mind up after the World Cup, and I said to myself: “I have to join Real Madrid now.”
“That wasn’t possible, and I spent another year at Chelsea, and that made my departure easier. The club understood it and allowed me to leave.
“My dream was always to play for Real Madrid, the greatest team in the world, and so far, I’m happy.”
Hazard has, however, endured a torrid start to his career at the Santiago Bernabeu, netting just one goal in seven appearances in all competitions for Zinedine Zidane’s side.
