Eden Hazard set to join Real Madrid

Eden Hazard’s transfer from Chelsea to Real Madrid will take place in the coming days should the reports from Spain turn out to be true

Los Blancos hold a long-standing interest in the Belgian superstar, with Zinedine Zidane recently expressing his admiration for the Blues winger.

Although all Real’s attempts to convince the Premier League giants to sell their headline performer have come a cropper, the player’s will to wear the white jersey seems to have prevailed eventually.

According to the Spanish outlet, Marca, all parties have found an agreement, and the 28-year-old will pen a six-year contract with the reigning Champions League holders in the next few days.

Hazard is expected to sharp Real’s toothless attack that has gone through all sorts of problems since Cristiano Ronaldo left the club to join Juventus.

Although no transfer fee has been mentioned, Hazard’s arrival will probably cost Florentino Perez a ‘small fortune’ judging on Chelsea’ €200 million demand from last summer.

While Los Merengues’ forwards have endured an underwhelming goalscoring campaign, former Lille star has enjoyed another impressive season at Stamford Bridge, as he has been involved in 29 goals in 41 top-flight outings for the Pensioners.
