Gareth Bale’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, has played down the talks linking his client with a return to Tottenham Hotspur
The Spurs are said to have opened talks with La Liga heavyweights to resign their former star, who endured a torrid time at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu last term.
The Welsh superstar has spent the final stage of last season on the sidelines after tumbling down Zinedine Zidane’s pecking order, and his future in the Spanish capital is still hanging in the balance.
However, Barnett has dismissed the rumors of his client’s potential reunion with the 2018-19 Champions League runners-up.
“I don’t think he wants to go out on loan. He’s got a lovely life and home in Spain,” he said.

“I think it would take something exceptional for him to leave and loans are not on the menu.”
Zidane is keen to offload the 30-year-old to raise funds for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, who is fighting tooth and nail to part with the Red Devils this window.
As a result, Los Blancos probably won’t accept a loan deal, preferring to sale Bale outright for approximately €80million, which is deemed excessive by the Spurs hierarchy.
The London outfit is reportedly willing to splash out €54m utmost to bring the prodigal son back home, but they also have another stumbling block to overcome.
Bale’s whopping £600,000 weekly wages make him affordable to a very few teams, and Tottenham are not one of them.
