Mauro Icardi will leave Inter Milan along with Radja Nainggolan this summer after the club revealed they don’t fit Antonio Conte’s plans for the next season
While the Argentinean striker fell out of favor with everyone tied to the blue-black shirt, the Belgian midfielder has endured a disappointing season by his standards after arriving from AS Roma last summer.
Icardi’s faith at the club has been hanging in the balance ever since he was stripped of the captaincy back in February, although the player has reiterated his desire to continue with Inter on numerous occasions.
With the Nerazzurri being heavily linked with a move for Manchester United outcast Romelu Lukaku, the former Sampdoria man will have to find new accommodation this summer.
It is still unclear whether the Red Devils want the 26-year-old as a counterpart in the deal to take the Belgian striker to Inter, but Old Trafford may as well be Icardi’s next destination.

The Nerazzurri CEO Giuseppe Marotta has already informed the duo about their respective futures at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
“They are not part of our plans,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “We have already talked to them, with all due respect to them.”
Meanwhile, Nainggolan has already rejected the prospect of joining the Chinese Super League and would rather stay in Europe where he has so far found a very few suitors.
The ex-Roma star may be willing to return to the Stadio Olimpico, but it seems the Giallorossi have not forgotten the way he left the club to join bitter rivals last summer.
