If everything goes as expected, Barella will be Conte’s fourth signing following the arrivals of Gabriel Brazao, Diego Godin, Valentino Lazaro, and Stefano Sensi.
Widely regarded as one of the hottest prospects in Europe, Barella has also been followed by Chelsea and Juventus, but the Milanese giants have eventually managed to beat the competition to his signature.
The talented midfielder should replace Radja Nainggolan, who is deemed surplus to requirements by Conte and will have to find a new club in the summer.
