Inter Milan plot sensational summer move for Manchester City stalwart Sergio Aguero

Inter Milan are reportedly considering a mouth-watering prospect of landing the Manchester City stalwart Sergio Aguero as a replacement for the outgoing Lautaro Martinez

Heavily linked with a move away from Serie A in the summer transfer window, Martinez is expected to link up with his fellow Argentina international colleague Lionel Messi at Barcelona.

The Catalan giants have identified the 22-year-old forward as their number one target for the upcoming transfer window and will make the utmost efforts to make him Luis Suarez’s long-term replacement at Camp Nou.

Although Inter would like to keep hold of their star forward beyond the summer, the Italian powerhouse may have already reconciled with the fact the highly-rated frontman will depart when the transfer window reopens for business.

Now, as reported by Sports Illustrated, the Nerazzurri have set their sights on the Manchester City all-time top goalscorer Sergio Aguero, who could leave the Etihad after nine years of service.

The 31-year-old goal-machine has established himself as one of the most lethal strikers in Europe’s top-five leagues during his nine-year spell in the Premier League, becoming the league’s third-best scorer in the process.

Having found the back of the net over 250 times for the reigning English champions, Aguero has nailed his name down in the club’s history books and became a symbol of Manchester City.

But, the prolific striker could follow in the footsteps of the former City icons Pablo Zabaleta, Yaya Touré, and Vincent Kompany, who all left the club during Pep Guardiola’s tenure.

In addition to Aguero, David Silva and Fernandinho are also heading towards the Etihad exit doors, as the Spanish manager prepares to shape a new era.

After being forced to fight for a place in the starting eleven with Gabriel Jesus throughout the entire 2019/20, Aguero could, in fact, consider leaving Manchester City, especially as his contract runs out at the end of the next season.
