Inter Milan set sights on Fiorentina prodigy

Inter Milan plot a summer move for the highly-rated Fiorentina forward Federico Chiesa, according to the latest reports from Italy

Although the Viola have endured a disastrous closing stage of the 2018-19 Serie A campaign, barely avoiding relegation on the final matchday, the 21-year-old has enjoyed a decent season.

Twelve goals and nine assists for Fiorentina across all competitions have helped the pacey winger break into the Italy national team and have also attracted interest from several major European sides.

Chelsea, Manchester United, and Juventus have been monitoring Chiesa’s development for quite some time, but Inter Milan now look to complete the deal and give Antonio Conte his first gift.

Disappointed with the way Ivan Perisic and Matteo Politano performed on the wings this term, the Nerazzurri are looking for a player who can cover both wings equally well.

Emerged as one of the brightest talents in Europe, Chiesa won’t come cheap, as Fiorentina already slapped a whopping €70million price tag on their starlet.
