Inter Milan are reportedly considering a move for the Juventus midfielder Blaise Matuidi as the Frenchman’s adventure in Turin draws to a close
With the arrivals of Adrien Rabiot and Aaron Ramsey, the 32-year-old Frenchman has been deemed surplus to requirements and could change the club before September 2.
The Milanese giants are hopeful that they can take advantage of the player’s situation to lure him to the Estadio Giuseppe Meazza, according to Sports Mole.
However, the reigning Serie A holders are now willing to strengthen direct rivals for the league crown and could, therefore, reject Inter’s approach.
Matuidi arrived at the Allianz Stadium in 2017 after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain run out and has made 89 top-flight appearances for the Bianconeri so far.
The Turin giants are still keen on signing the outgoing Inter striker, Mauro Icardi, and are said to be willing to offer the France international as a makeweight in the deal.
But, the Nerazzurri are reportedly looking for cash only or a straight swap that would see Paulo Dybala switching allegiances, which has so far deemed unacceptable by the Juventus hierarchy.
