AC Milan and Gennaro Gattuso have parted ways after the Italian tactician decided to step down as head coach
Even though the 41-year-old had two years left on his contract, he left the charge after the Rossoneri failed to secure the top-four finish in Serie A for the sixth year in a row.
Additionally, the former AC Milan midfielder has given up on the €5.5million wage the club would’ve owed to him, admitting ‘his story with Milan can never be about money.’
Meanwhile, the Rossoneri chief executive Ivan Gazidis has thanked Gattuso for everything he has done for the club in the past 18 months.
