Manchester City are edging closer to signing Juventus right-back Joao Cancelo, according to the latest reports from England
The Portuguese defender arrived at the Allianz Stadium from Valencia back last summer for a reported fee of €40.4 million, establishing himself as a regular starter under Massimiliano Allegri.
Even though he has registered 34 top-flight appearances and provided eight assists this term, the 24-year-old seems to have failed to convince the Bianconeri to keep him for the next campaign.

The arrival of the Portuguese full-back at City would be related to the departure of Danilo, who is expected to leave this summer.
Cancelo’s arrival is closely related to Danilo’s departure, who will probably leave the Citizens in the summer after struggling for the regular first-team action.
Former Inter Milan man probably played his last game for the Turin giants against Atalanta last week, as he has undergone surgery that will see him skipping Juve’s clash with Sampdoria on Sunday.
