Klopp hails performance after PSG Champions League thriller

    Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp had nice things to say after a thrilling 3-2 win over PSG in the UEFA Champions League. The Reds, finalists lasts season, had all to prove against the mighty force of the French champions.They got off to a dream start with Daniel Sturridge, who replaced the injured Roberto Firmino, heading home the opening goal. James Milner doubled their lead to create parity. PSG responded in the 40th minute through Thomas Munier who slotted home with a left-footed shot.

    Teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe seemed to have snatched a draw in the 83rd minute. However, it was the substitute Firmino who had the last laugh in injury time. This was the type of victory that fires up the ever passionate Klopp.“It was good in all departments pretty much. It is so difficult to defend them, but we did. Good organisation and a big heart is always a good organisation in defending. All 11 players were involved in that. A good performance against an outstandingly strong opponent,” Klopp said on Liverpool’s official website.Liverpool and Chelsea are the only teams with a 100% record in the Premier League after five matches. The Reds face a difficult spell in their next five matches including back to back dates with Chelsea.
