Klopp thinks of breaking Liverpool transfer record to land Barca star

According to the various sources from England, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is willing to break club’s transfer record to land Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele.

Unlike last year, the Merseysiders are struggling in the final third this season, mainly thanks to an average performance from Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino.

Xherdan Shaqiri has failed to impress his manager ever since his £13.5 million transfer from Stoke City last summer. Therefore, the German technician is determined to bolster his attacking department in the upcoming transfer window.

The media in England report that Liverpool could offer around £85 million to persuade the Catalans to give a green light. However, this scenario seems highly improbable, as Barcelona splashed out £135.5 million to secure Dembele’s services in August 2017.

Although the 21-year-old Frenchman failed to replicate the same performance from Borussia Dortmund, he has shown some glimpses of his potential in the recent period.

With Coutinho, Messi, and Luis Suarez residing as the only reliable attacking options, Ernesto Valverde would hardly renounce Dembele’s services this winter.

Furthermore, the pacey winger has already rejected the possibility to move to Anfield in the past, which makes things even more difficult for the Premier League giants.
