After playing a major role in Barcelona’s comeback victory over Inter Milan, Lionel Messi has issued a warning to the rest of Europe that he is just warming up
The Catalans came from behind to beat the Nerazzurri 2-1 at the Camp Nou on Wednesday night and register their first triumph in this Champions League campaign.
Although Luis Suarez was the instrumental part of the Blaugrana’s success, with two impressive goals, the Argentinean once again demonstrated absolute his class, playing a delightful assist to his attacking teammate to complete the comeback.
After dribbling past Kwadwo Asamoah, the 32-year-old continued his darting run before passing the ball to Suarez whose first touch saw him overcome Diego Godin and put the ball behind Samir Handanovic.
It was the first time this season that Messi played for the entire 90 minutes since returning from a calf injury he suffered at Copa America.

“‘I am still getting started. This the first time that I have completed 90 minutes. As the season goes on I will gradually let loose,” he said in the post-match interview, as transcribed by Daily Mail.
Barcelona captain was also quick to hail the atmosphere in the dressing room after Antoine Griezmann indicated the two barely talk behind the closed doors.
“There is a good relationship in the dressing room. We have a very united group,” he added. “We had trouble getting going in this game, but we are getting better.”
