Manchester City winger Leroy Sane reportedly wants to join Bayern Munich in the January transfer window after missing out on the Bundesliga return last summer
Sane has not featured for City since August but is on the verge of returning to fitness after a nasty ACL injury and wants to continue his career away from the Premier League.
The 23-year-old forward was closely monitored by Bayern Munich last summer, but the Bavarians’ appeals to the Citizens to let their youngster leave have fallen on City’s deaf ears.
But, according to the German publication, Bild, the Germany international has decided to force his way back to his native country this winter.

Sane has reportedly made up his mind on leaving the Etihad for the Allianz Arena and will not wait for the next summer to materialize his move.
Meanwhile, the reigning Bundesliga holders will try to take advantage of the player’s wish and accelerate their interest in January, as they see Sane as a long-term replacement for both Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben, who left the club during the summer.
The left-footed forward has 18 months left on his contract, and the Premier League giants will not risk losing him without a considerable compensation fee they need to balance the books.
Hence, Bayern can finally capitalize on their long-standing interest in the former Schalke man and close the entire operation as soon as next month.
