AS Monaco have reportedly joined the race for the outgoing Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi
The former Nerazzurri captain has fallen out of favor with Antonio Conte, who has omitted him from the Inter squad in all of their pre-season matches.
Deemed surplus to requirements, the Argentinean has already seen his No9 shirt taken by Romelu Lukaku, and his departure seems to be only a matter of time.
After Juventus, AS Roma, and Napoli all showed their appreciation for the 26-year-old, AS Monaco have now made an approach for the controversial forward.

With Radamel Falcao’s future hanging in the air, the struggling French giants are looking to bolster their attack with another top-class striker, and Icardi seems to be Leonardo Jardim’s favorable option.
Les Monégasques have barely dodged relegation in the Ligue 1 last term, but they’ve started the new campaign the same way they played last season having suffered a 3-0 home loss to Olympique Lyonnais on the opening matchday.
The Argentinean’s days at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza are numbered, but the player is reluctant to move to France and would rather stay in Serie A.
According to various reports from Italy, Roma are currently in the driver’s seat after offering cash plus Edin Dzeko for Icardi’s services.
Meanwhile, Antonio Conte has already shipped out Radja Nainggolan and Ivan Perisic, and the former Sampdoria man is expected to follow in their footsteps before September 2.
