Liverpool eye summer swoop for Wolverhampton beast Adama Traore

Liverpool have reportedly started preparing for life after Sadio Mane or Mohamed Salah, with the Wolverhampton Wanderers beast, Adama Traore, topping their shopping lists

Sadio Mane has been at least one level above all other players this season and is reportedly front-running the race for the Premier League Player of the Year.

The Senegalese forward has enjoyed another prolific campaign – he notched up 16 goals and provided eight assists in all competitions – setting a benchmark for his peers to aspire to.

Mohamed Salah has also been nothing short of outstanding this season, racking up 20 goals and nine assists and smashing a 20-goal barrier for the third year running.

Both players have attracted interest from a host of European clubs, with Real Madrid heavily linked with a swoop for one of the Reds’ headline performers were either of them is allowed to leave in the summer.

Various reports in England have recently identified Mane as Los Blancos’ number one target for the summer transfer window, fueling speculations about his Anfield departure.

But, the Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has already devised a summer strategy, putting Wolverhampton star Adama Traore at the top of his shopping list, according to the TeamTalk.

The former Barcelona youth academy product’s form this season has been something else, as he has managed to produce some video-game performance, bringing his team to prominence.

Pace, strength, and energy – rarely seen in the Premier League before – have rocketed the 24-year-old to the orbit, earning him plaudits from all across Europe.

Now, Traore has made it to the top of Klopp’s wish-list, surpassing the likes of Bayer Leverkusen’s Kai Havertz and Leon Bailey and Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho.

Indeed, the German manager holds a long-term interest in the highly-rated Bundesliga trio, although some recent claims indicate he removed Sancho from his list of targets.

Instead of monitoring the situation overseas, Klopp has opted to switch his attention inside the Premier League boundaries, but his pursuit of Traore could suffer a setback.

Well aware of the growing interest in their most valuable asset, Wolves have slapped a £75million price tag on Traore’s head to enhance their efforts of keeping him on board beyond the summer.
