Luka Jovic eager to join AC Milan on a two-year loan deal

Luka Jovic is reportedly keen to reunite with Ante Rebic at AC Milan after failing to establish himself as a permanent fixture at Real Madrid, reports say

Jovic has been struggling to find his footing in La Liga since completing his £54million switch from Eintracht Frankfurt last summer, netting just two goals under Zinedine Zidane’s tutelage.

As a consequence, the 22-year-old striker has found himself behind Karim Benzema and Mariano Diaz in Zidane’s pecking order, managing just four league starts during the 2019/20 season.

Although some recent reports suggested that Jovic hopes to fight his way into Real Madrid’s starting XI, the latest rumors indicate that he wants to move on in the summer.

According to the Spanish publication, Mundo Deportivo, as transmitted by the Daily Mail, the Serbia international is eager to join AC Milan on a two-year loan.

The Rossoneri are on the lookout for a new striker, particularly in light of the uncertainty surrounding Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s future at the San Siro, and have identified Jovic as a potential solution for their goalscoring problems.

The fallen Serie A giants are also working around the clock to secure Ante Rebic’s services permanently after the Croat impressed during his loan spell in Lombardy.

Jovic enjoyed his most prolific season so far playing alongside Rebic at Eintracht Frankfurt in 2018/19 when he racked up 27 goals and seven assists in 48 appearances across all competitions.
