Romelu Lukaku has reportedly been working around the clock to convince his former teammate Alexis Sanchez to join him at Inter Milan
The Belgian forward swapped Manchester United for the Nerazzurri this summer for £73million and has been helping his new side bring the Red Devils’ outcast on board too.
As reported by Daily Mail, Lukaku has been messaging Sanchez every day from the minute he has landed in Italy, trying to convince the 30-year-old to reunite with him at the Giuseppe Meazza.
Sanchez’s career at Old Trafford is nearing an end, as the former Barcelona man miserly failed at the Theatre of Dreams ever since his blockbuster arrival from Arsenal.
Aware of the Chilean’s frustration in Manchester, the Serie A giants have been trying to lure him to Milano, as they look to challenge Juventus for the league title next season.
Lukaku’s efforts to link up with Sanchez appear to have come to fruition, as he seems to be on the verge of completing his season-long loan move to Inter.
Inter have agreed to cover half of the player’s whopping £560,000-a-week wages, and Sanchez should sign a contract after undergoing medical on Tuesday.
