Manchester United have identified Rennes’ Eduardo Camavinga as a perfect long-term successor for Real Madrid-bound Paul Pogba
Manchester United are already piecing together a plan for the next summer transfer window, keeping in mind a potential departure of Pogba.
The French midfielder is in the final 12 months of his contract at Old Trafford and has already reiterated his desire to team up with Real Madrid on multiple occasions in the past.
Since Pogba has shown no intention of committing to fresh terms in Manchester, his long-anticipated transfer to the Santiago Bernabeu is well on the cards.
The Red Devils are not willing to leave their midfield line to faith and have already found a long-term replacement for the 27-year-old World Cup winner.
According to the Express Sport, Ed Woodward and Co have their eyes set on the up-and-coming Rennes sensation Eduardo Camavinga, also followed by Real Madrid.
Cavaminga made his senior breakthrough at the age of 16 back in 2019/20, making 25 Ligue 1 appearances.
The super-talented youngster has established himself as a permanent fixture in Julien Stéphan’s starting XI, recording five Ligue 1 starts this term.
He has also opened his international account, scoring an outstanding overhead kick in his second senior game for France, as Les Bleus hammered Ukraine 7-1 in a friendly.
Cavaminga’s high-class performances and the level of maturity he has shown so far have not gone unnoticed.
Real Madrid harbor a long-standing interest in the French midfielder, but Manchester United are ready to hijack that move.
Indeed, the Old Trafford outfit will be ready to let go of Pogba only if it means they will be able to snap up Camavinga.
