Manchester City join Chelsea on FIFA’s ‘blacklist’

After Chelsea, Manchester City are the second Premier League team what won’t be able to operate in the next two transfer windows

The reigning Premier League holders have reportedly breached FFP rules related to the transfer of underaged players and will have to skip the next two transfer sessions.

Not long ago, Chelsea went through the same situation because of the transfer of at-the-time underaged Bertrand Traore.

According to the reports from England, FIFA will issue the official verdict “very soon” announcing City’s ban.

The Citizens are deprived of the benefit of the doubt considering they were already fined for similar misconduct in the past.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has recently revealed his plans of strengthening his squad at the end of the season.

However, in light of current events, the Spaniard may have to reconsider his options and settle with the players he currently has at his disposal.
