Manchester City are reportedly ready to splash out €75million to sign the Real Sociedad winger Mikel Oyarzabal to replace Leroy Sane, who joined Bayern Munich
Pep Guardiola is a known admirer of Oyarzabal, who has been Sociedad’s leading figure over the past few seasons, and the Sky Blues are reportedly ready to indulge their boss this summer.
Manchester City failed to keep hold of Sane, who forced his move to Bayern Munich earlier this week, bringing the €50m into City’s coffers.
But, the Germany international’s departure has left a void in Guardiola’s attacking department, creating a need for a new forward able to help the Etihad outfit return to the top of the Premier League.
As per the Sports Illustrated, Manchester City are now ready to step up their interest in Oyarzabal, who has a considerable €75m release clause at Real Sociedad.

Pep Guardiola ‘knows’ the player can perform for a big team and the €75m price tag is ‘nothing’ to City’s owners. Oyarzabal will ‘decide his fate’.

The 23-year-old winger has fought his way into the Spain national team after accruing nine goals and nine assists in 32 La Liga appearances this campaign.
Oyarzabal’s consistency throughout the years has earned him high acclaim from Guardiola, who holds a long-standing interest in the Spanish winger.
Now with Sane out of the equation, the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager could finally complete the long-awaited signing of his compatriot.
