Talks between Manchester City and Valencia over a summer deal for sought-after winger Ferran Torres are underway, according to recent reports in England
Manchester City are on the lookout for Leroy Sane’s heir after selling the German star to Bayern Munich earlier this month, and the name of Ferran Torres features the list of City’s targets close to the top.
Negotiations between the Premier League giants and Valencia have been kick-started, as Pep Guardiola looks to capture a signing of a skillful winger, who should be available for around €50million.
While enjoying a rise to the stardom at the Mestalla, the 20-year-old Torres has clocked up nine goals and 12 assists in almost 100 appearances for the La Liga side.
Despite his young age, the talented Spaniard has been a beating heart of the ‘Bats’ squad throughout the entire 2019/20 season, making 44 outings across various competitions.
Given what he’s accomplished and what the future has in store, it stands to reason that Valencia will make utmost efforts to fend off suitors for their jewel.
However, Manchester City are hopeful of persuading the Spanish outfit to let their starlet go by offering the highly-rated centre-midfielder Yangel Herrera as part of the deal.
