Manchester United have come close to engineering a move for Leicester City star defender Harry Maguire after accepting to meet the Foxes’ demands
Devastated by his team’s poor defensive performances last season, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate to strengthen his backline this summer.
After completing the signing of Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace earlier this month, the Red Devils have now come one step away from materializing their long-standing interest in Maguire.
Manchester United have reportedly agreed a fee of £80m for Harry Maguire, according to The Sun.— Goal (@goal) July 14, 2019

According to the British outlet, The Sun, the three-time Champions League winners have agreed to splash out £80m to lure the 26-year-old centre-back to Old Trafford after seeing both of their previous attempts coming a cropper.
If everything goes as planned, United will shatter the record for the world’s most expensive defender, exceeding £75m Liverpool paid Southampton for Virgil Van Dijk in 2018.
Solskjaer will also kill two birds with one stone, as he is not only going to get much-needed reinforcement at the back, but he will also beat bitter rivals Manchester City to Maguire’s signature.
