Manchester United could beat Arsenal to Adrien Rabiot’s signature thanks to Juventus’ interest in Paul Pogba, according to the latest reports from England
Juventus are in contention for the signing of Pogba, with Real Madrid also showing huge ambition to snap up the midfielder’s services this January.
But, as reported by the Metro, the reigning Serie A holders are willing to offer the highly-rated France international as a makeweight in the deal to bring Pogba back to Italy.
Although United forked out £89m to bring the 26-year-old back to Old Trafford in 2016, the World Cup winner is now eager to cut ties with the Red Devils.
Rabiot arrived at the Allianz Stadium for Paris Saint-Germain for free last summer, and Juventus value their out-of-sorts midfielder at £25m and are ready to offer an additional £60m to persuade United to sell.
Mino Raiola has also done his part in convincing United to release his client this winter by accusing the club of being below Pogba’s standards at the moment.
Mikel Arteta has already labeled the 24-year-old as his January transfer target, as he looks to bolster Arsenal’s options in the midfield.
However, the Gunners could miss out on Rabiot’s signature should Juventus carry out their plan that involves the Frenchman.
