Manchester United have reportedly put Lille striker Victor Osimhen at the top of their summer wishlist, according to the latest reports in England
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is desperate to bolster his attacking line in a bid to force United’s way back to the top of the Premier League and Europe as soon as possible.
The Red Devils tried to clinch a deal for a top-class striker in the January transfer window, but they had to satisfy with a loan signing of Odion Ighalo fro the Chinese outfit Shanghai Shenhua.
Yet, the 30-year-old Nigeria international has kick-started his six-month stint at Old Trafford in remarkable fashion, notching up four goals and providing an assist in eight outings in all competitions.
After exceeding expectations, Ighalo seems to have managed to convince Solskjaer to retain him beyond the summer.
Even if the Norwegian decide to keep hold of the former Watford hitman, he will continue to pursue other attacking options, with Lille’s rising star, Victor Osimhen at the top of his list, per the Daily Mirror.

The 21-year-old has been a revelation in Ligue 1 this campaign, clocking up 13 goals and five assists 27 league matches in his first season in the French top tier.
Also, he scored twice in the Champions League group stage and added three more in domestic cup competitions, taking his tally to 18 goals for the season.
Osimhen’s stupendous performances have not gone unnoticed, with the La Liga powerhouse, Real Madrid, keeping their tabs on the former Charleroi man, too.
Liverpool were also been linked with a move for the prolific frontman before the January transfer window started, but their interest seems to have faded away since.
Although no transfer fee has been mentioned so far, Les Dogues are certain to make a substantial profit on the Nigerian after paying just €13million to take him away from the Belgium Jupiler League only last summer.
