Manchester United have reportedly prepared £120million to bring Lautaro Martinez and Leandro Paredes on board this winter
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer intends to bolster his squad in January, as the Red Devils eye the Premier League top-four finish and the Champions League return.
In spite of United’s struggling for consistency this season, they are still in strong contention for the Champions League promotion, and Solskjaer is looking to boost his team’s chances by injecting fresh blood.
According to the Daily Mirror, the Old Trafford outfit plan to fork out £120million to sign Inter Milan forward Lautaro Martinez and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Leandro Paredes.
The Norwegian manager is on the lookout for the rising stars, and the Argentinean duo perfectly fits the bill, given their age and room for improvement.
However, the Red Devils will face stiff competition from Barcelona in their pursuit of Lautaro, has been in a sublime form for the Nerazzurri this term.
Solskjaer’s job in luring Paredes to the Premier League should be a lot simpler, as the 25-year-old failed to establish himself as a regular starter at PSG under Thomas Tuchel.
But, Manchester United will now have to focus on their upcoming clash against Everton in Liverpool that could be crucial in their efforts to bridge the gap on fourth-placed Chelsea.
A recent upturn in results has propelled United to sixth in the table, and they can cut down the gap on the Blues to just two points should they walk away from Goodison Park with three points on Sunday.
