Manchester United star Alexis Sanchez could part company with the club already in the January transfer window, according to the Daily Mail.
The 29-year-old winger landed at the Old Trafford only last winter from Arsenal, in a swap deal that saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan go the opposite direction. But, Sanchez has failed to make an impact ever since, netting just four goals in a total of 25 appearances for the Red Devils.
Although the Chile international arrived at the ranks of the 3-time Champions League winners to help the team return to the top of the Premier League, he has never managed to replicate his Gunners form.
This season, the former Barcelona man registered six Premier League outings, having scored one goal and provided one assist in the process.
The frustration in the dressing room has already seen Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial being labeled the principal culprits by Jose Mourinho.
It appears now that the ex-Real Madrid boss doesn’t have the patience for the skillful forward and could force his sale as early as January.
Earlier this month, some British media stated Arsenal are willing to take Sanchez back to the Emirates Stadium. However, in the last couple of days, the name of Arsene Wenger has emerged as a potential solution for Bayern Munich’s severe crisis, and the Frenchman may try to bring his talisman to the Bundesliga in case the Bavarians sack Niko Kovac.
