Manchester United will prioritize a move for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly next summer, according to reports in England
United hold a long-term interest in the Senegal international, but they’ve so far failed to overcome an exorbitant asking price Napoli slapped on Koulibaly’s head.
Indeed, the Partenopei are looking for at least a £90million fee to set their star defender free and are known for their ability to cash in on their players at the peak of their market value.
Man Utd boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ‘hell-bent’ on completing Kalidou Koulibaly transfer in the summer. Feels £90m is a snip for the Napoli centre-back who would be perfect partner for Harry Maguire. As reported by the Daily Express, the Red Devils will be looking to recruit the 28-year-old as soon as the summer transfer window opens after deciding to meet Napoli’s demands.
However, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, and Real Madrid are also credited with an interest in the former Genk man, which could be throwing a spanner in the works.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sees Koulibaly as a massive addition to his squad and a perfect partner for Harry Maguire, as he looks to assemble a rock-solid backline.
Koulibaly ticks many of the boxes for the type of player the Norwegian boss wants to land, and Ed Woodward is ready to fulfill his coach’s biggest wish.
