Manchester United set sights on Willian

Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Willian, whose career at Chelsea is drawing to a close, reports in England say

Willian is out of contract at the end of the season and is certain to leave Stamford Bridge after six years since the parties failed to find an agreement over an extension.

The Brazilian winger has been an always-present figure for Chelsea since arriving from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2013, racking up 59 goals and 59 assists in over 300 appearances for the London outfit.

Although he is already 31 years old, Willian has a host of suitors interested in acquiring his services, with Arsenal, Barcelona, and Juventus all keen to take him away from west London.

But, according to the 101GreatGoals, Manchester United are now looking to beat the competition for Willian’s signature, as they look to bolster their attacking options.

Faced with an almost certain departure of Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is eager to add a wide attacker to his ranks.

The Red Devils are still keeping close tabs on the Borussia Dortmund starlet Jadon Sancho, but the Englishman’s £100m price tag remains a stumbling block to the prospective deal.

Therefore, the Old Trafford outfit may go for Willian as a much cheaper option, and the fact that the Brazilian has a vast Premier League experience comes as a further enticement.
